Most of the Christian life happens in the gap between the promise and the position. Waiting on a job. A diagnosis. A prodigal. An answer to a prayer you've prayed a thousand times. Isaiah 40:31 says waiting on the Lord is where strength gets renewed, not where it runs out.

Just as silence prepared the way for Christ’s arrival, our seasons of delay may be holy ground where God is deepening our faith and sharpening our vision for what’s to come.
