Read:

Ephesians 1:7-8 “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us…”

Think:

People teasingly refer to klutzy people as “Grace.” Grace is a word that can also refer to mealtime prayers or describe a ballerina’s movement. But God’s grace is a strong force that carries the ability to eradicate sin and abolish guilt. Theologians define grace as “the unmerited or undeserving favor of God.”Grace is given by God freely to whoever asks. But grace is not a “get-out-of-jail-free” card. God’s grace doesn’t erase the consequences of sin. It stops us from focusing on what we have done so we can concentrate on God. Grace transforms us into the new creation God has created us to be.

Living in God’s grace is a daily choice. Living in freedom and living like a freed person takes intentional action. And just like God provided manna (sweet bread) each day in the Old Testament when the Israelites were wandering around the wilderness, He will also give you the grace you need for today.

Application:

Walk in victory today. When you feel shame creeping in, say, “(Insert your name) has redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that He lavished on me…”

Pray:

Jesus, Your death on the cross was enough. I am forgiven! Thank You. Help me today to live like I’m free. Amen.
