Each day, men and women are being deployed into situations that we can’t fathom. Others are on their way home, safe, yes—but uncertain of their future. Their sacrifice is selfless and our gratitude is without limitation. We also sadly acknowledge and honor those that have given their life for our freedom and the freedom of others.
Every person serving in our armed forces represents a family. Someone’s son, daughter, father, mother, uncle, aunt, brother or sister is standing up and standing strong. They are sacrificing far more than their time—they are risking their life to make better lives for us here in the US, as well as others around the world.
Although they seldom ask for it, they need our support, our encouragement and our love. Most importantly they need to know God and the love that He pours through His Word. Nothing gives more comfort or provides greater hope.
Together we can put something in their hands that reminds them of the hope we have for a better tomorrow.
